Update: For those who attended the training, Holly Waldron is available to consult with clinicians at your convenience. She is available to talk about your sessions via email at holly@ori.org or via telephone 541-915-6196.

The Functional Family Therapy Training will be taught by Dr. Holly Barrett Waldron, Ph.D., who is the Leading Implementations in Functional Family Therapy (LIFFT) Chief Executive Officer. LIFFT focuses on sustainability by working with sites to implement Functional Family Therapy efficiently with minimal deviation from established site procedures.

The training  took place September 18-19, 2019 in Albuquerque, NM from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. both days.

Before registering, please read the following steps that involve becoming certified:

  • Clinicians must participate and be present for the full two days of the initial workshop
  • Immediately following the workshop, clinicians will begin using FFT with families of adolescents (preferably 1-2 new families from the clinician’s regular caseload) and receiving observation-based coaching and feedback to guide their FFT practice.
  • The FFT sessions will need to be audio recorded and uploaded via the secure FACET website for Dr. Waldron to review.
  • Feedback will be delivered using the FACET website and through telephone consultation with Dr. Waldron.

*CE credits will only  be earned for the workshop and observation-based coaching courses when clinicians upload the first session recording. Specifically, attendance throughout the entire 2-day workshop and the uploading of one family session is required to 16 CE credits for the FFT Clinical Training course. An additional 1-12 hours of CE credits can be earned for the FFT Guided Practice course. The weekly coaching sessions are scheduled to fit your availability and needs.
