The NMSU Southwest Regional Training Center, CYFD-Behavioral Health Services , and the BHSD-Office of Peer Recovery and Engagement (OPRE) are working together to implement a Youth Peer Support Worker Program in New Mexico.
Our Goal: To create a formalized Youth Peer Support Worker training and employment process that enables the caring, compassionate and resilient youth of our community to work in a professional capacity, providing guidance and support to other young people struggling to navigate the complex systems that impact their well-being.
